Help with alternator bracket fitment.
Discussion
Hi all , hope someone can help , im putting the engine back together on the S3 after new manifold fitment and I cant remember how the bolts for the alternator mount are positioned , one of the bolts is long and has a plain shank before the thread which I assume is for the tensioner and two of the bolts had 3 shim washers each which surprise surprise I can remember where they go !!
Can anyone tell me the correct fitment of the bracket and tensioner assy or if anyone has a diagram or photo of it all that would be great,
cheers / regards Paul

There are two M8 bolts that attach the bracket to the engine (one is hidden by hose in photo) and an M10 bolt that is for the adjustment bracket. Then there is of course another M10 bolt that goes into a thread near the spark plugs.
With the standard adjuster there is a spacer (about 15mm?) between the adjuster and main bracket
(yours might have a few less holes than mine

Hi Mike , thanks for the quick response and photo , I assume all those washers I have, have been fitted by someone who lost the original spacer !!! Do you mean the spacer goes under the tensioner arm onto the actual mount bracket and that's why one of the bolts is longer and shouldered ?
If anyone has a picky or diagram of the original [Mikes super cool rose joint set up doesn't show the tensioner arm / spacer set up ]I would also like to see that too ,
Cheers/regards Paul.
