Hey guys, bought and received set of aluminum targa channels and seals from ml performance, anyone bought/fitted? Any advice/pearls of wisdom about fitting would be much appreciated, planning on fitting very soon. Was tired of getting very wet with the lovely weather we have been having!!! Also going to replace all the rubber seals to hopefully make things much better!!

Cheers in advance,
Dez

Can't help with fitting them but keep us posted, will be interested to see how they fit, if they fit, how well they seal etc. etc.

Not quite sure what part you’re talking about. Got a photo?

Sounds like you are fitting the later seals. Haven't done it myself, but I would suggest adding some silicon between the channel and the panel before screwing them on.

Here's a thread with a picture:

Hi Dez,
Just a quick bit of advice, before you start.
To establish exactly where the seals/channels need to be fitted, first strip off the old seals, install the targa panels on the car, fully wind up the windows & close the doors.
Then using a chinagraph crayon or similar, trace the line where the glass meets the roof. This will be the guide line for where new seal needs to be...
It's most unlikely that it will be parallel to the edges of the targa panels, but will taper front to back.
You may have to fettle the seal & channel where the "quarterlight" frame contacts, so mark this as well.
HTH, Good luck,
Glen
