I've fitted new rear Avo adjustable shocks and they sit too high, what am I doing wrong? Wound the lower spring seat to the bottom and the spring is not under any tension Thanks in advance
if the spring is not under tension then the trailing arm bush /bolt must be under tension - slacken ALL suspension bush bolt/nuts to allow settling - even run a very short distance like that (maybe up to 100 metres) before tightening - do not jack up the body when tightening!
Have spoken to Avo, they need to know spring length and poundage, I've got no idea what I need, just need rear to sit at a normal height, Anyone been in a similar situation and can let me know? Thanks
Check out the suspension wiki at top of this forum to get some guidance on poundage. If car is sitting two inches too high get some two inch shorter springs. Or a bit shorter, Avo's are adjustable so can always be wound up a bit.
