Hooray! Although not hugely surprised given one particular fastidious previous owner! wink

Why do I always feel like an expectant father hanging around while my car's poked and prodded? laugh

One cloud on the horizon - an advisory "play in steering rack inner joint(s)". Steers fine, not noticed anything at all. Any ideas what this is likely to be, and how easy to DIY?

I had the rack refurbished by Exactly TVR for that very problem (about 2010 I think) but you should have the invoice, my understanding is that you need specialised equipment to close up the clamp bits on the end of the rack (which is chevette) which fasted to the arms (Ford i think). Its not a DIY job but a complete refurb should only be £150-£200 i think. Adrian Venn at Exactly TVR could give you some guidance I think.

Thanks for the nice comment
