Hi All
Today's job is all about water, I am going to fit the radiator hoses, I have a swirl pot and overflow pot, the question is on the return to the radiator.

Is the water in at the top and out of the bottom of the swirl pot.
or
Is the water in at the bottom and out at the top of the swirl pot

Capt Mainwaring is pleased to inform me that the top pipe from the swirl tank goes to the thermostat and the bottom one goes to the top of the radiator. That’s on the V8S anyway but he imagines that the principal of where the hot stuff goes is the same. And if you do get it round the wrong way he advises – “don’t panic!”

Go on, ask about the pressure cap :-D

I've recently overhauled my plumbing (ooh er mrs) and decided on pressure cap on swirl pot - so far so good, been running perfectly. No gurgling when I stop, no overflow out of the expansion tank, so I'm converted.

now runs for cover :-o

i keep planning to move my bypass hose - cos it still takes to long to warm up for me :-(

Just a matter of a friendly tigger welder borrow or buy or pint?
