Suspension bolts

I`m in the process of doing a body lift and decided to clean up the suspension. I need to replace the bolts, I know they are 1/2 inch UNF, but, do they need to be a special grade of steel ? I`m thinking that they take a lot of stress and need to be specific for the job, thanks for any help.

S (normal high tensile stuff, about the same as 8.8 in metric)

8.8 a bit low try to go for 12.9 or min 10.9

when i rebuilt my car i bought a bolt kit from a TVR parts suppler/ converter that no longer trading
they were not all the correct length and have gone rusty after 6 months of summer use
I do not wish to use stainless bolts, but would like to buy some unf bolts that are properly plated not Chinese cr@p

when i complained to him he said there all made in china now

S grade is fine for these. I used two suppliers:

Wrights in Coventry - they are local to me:

and:

Margnor - if you want 3 of something they can supply rather than buying a pack of x number. They also have the correct 10.9 M10x25 higher tensile fasteners for brake calipers:
