Every time I fill the petrol tank up on my S2 it takes forever.
Also when the engine is hot if I blip the throttle the engine revs stay high for about 5 seconds then gradually drop to normal idle, any ideas? This only happens when hot not cold or warm.
I had a similar problem with the revs staying high then dropping. I found that the throttle was slightly open on tick over which made the revs too high when the idle speed control valve added the idle air. The ECU then senses too high a tick over and closes the ISCV a bit. Also when the engine is hot if I blip the throttle the engine revs stay high for about 5 seconds then gradually drop to normal idle, any ideas? I think that's how it works. Anyway getting the throttle butterfly to close properly fixed mine. Could also be just a dirty ISCV as they do get coked up especially if you still have the engine breather pipe going into the air filter.
Rob.
Not the fastest car to fill with fuel!I also find it better to put the filler nozzle 'upside down'. Do check the breather pipe though, when I first got mine it was full of s..t and hardly working at all, a marked improvement when I cleaned it out. I think it is the same on yours as on an S1.
