Expansion Tanks - Search Down

I know a few have added/moved the expansion tank to sit against the swirl pot. The search is down again and I was after finding where these expansion tanks were sourced as I would like to sit an expansion chamber next to the swirl pot, use the un-pressurised cap on the swirl pot and use the expansion tank with a pressure cap as the "reservoir" that pressurises during engine warm up.

To do this I will need a tank of about 1.5 to 2 litre capacity with a standard pressure cap collar on the top and 2 hose connections of the 10mm (IIRC) size. Has anyone got something like this or alternatively know where I could get one made up.

Note I don't mind it being aluminium, steel or stainless (or even plastic if it can take the pressure) as if not too pretty I'll powder coat it like my swirl pot is.

Try Shaun (I think he is Shauns3c??) He will be able to make you one up I'm sure, I can certanly vouch for his work, if you can't find him I think I have his email pm me and I will forward it

I can't take credit for it, but here's my expansion tank. Can anyone ID the plastic bottle? It isn't under any pressure, so I guess it's just a catch tank? No cooling problems, so I guess it all works well.

That's quite big ?

Swirl pot is only about 1.1 litre.

I was looking at the "big" one and it would be ideal if the bottom connection was 10mm OD and the top one was where the "threaded overflow" port is.

Thanks for suggestion of Shaun, if I can't find one available off the shelf then I'll try to get one made locally and if that doesn't work will contact Shaun, unless of course he is in the SW (his profile doesn't say where he is located). Reason for local is what I'd like to do if having to get it made as a one off is to pass the manufacturer my spare swirl pot and get it made with bracket to fit nicely against it.

It's difficult to find one without too many penetrations in the wrong places. This is the closest I came:

It has one stub in the neck and the other in the base, vertically below. The latter is a bit large in diameter, but is easily modified (drilled/tapped or welded) to take a smaller one.
