...if anyone is interested. Need a bit of love to make them new again.

OP, how did you manage to get all that ferrous oxide to stick to the alloy?

I've got some of those rusty "alloy" covers aswell, didn't realise they are so valuable

Hi, think you've mis-understood my post, those are common steel rocker covers I was offering to lend someone to use while they re-furbished theirs.

I mentioned alloy are available (at a price and as an option to painted steel) but those are not alloy !

I'm afraid the "going rate" for rusty (thats the clue) steel items is probably no more than a tenner tops

Talking about rocker covers, just had mine powder coated, and they came back with the rubber grommet with the hole in it missing!!
Presumed lost... does anyone know where to get them from?

here's one cheaper than this one


that "valve thingy" is used on a lot of Fords (forget its proper name) so quite possibly grommet still available from Ford ?
