Hello!
I'm happy to get 1988 LHD TVR S and subscribe to pistonheads smile

Is it possible to buy workshop manual or any other documentation (paper or PDF)?

The TVR S Series by Steve Heath is a useful book but is not a comprehensive workshop manual.... clicky

As you may well already know, TVR used a lot of parts from Ford so a Sierra and Granada Haynes manuals might be handy

Sierra
Granada

And nice 'n cheap wink

I've no idea how many TVR S are in Poland - I believe less than 10. I'm sure there's at least 1 Chimera and 1 S Series (mine biggrin ).

Anybody knows how many TVS S LHD were produced?

PS I'll add some photos next week smile

Marceli,

Welcome

The manuals mentioned above are all you need plus the use of this forum and the owners websites linked in the useful links above. If those don't cover it then ask on here and we can normally help.

Also I notice from your profile you are in Poland near Warsaw so as my son is studying there for the next 5 years as long as you aren't in a rush for items I may be able to help if some are available here but not in Poland (or vice versa of course)and can fit in carry on baggage on the plane.

Many thanks all of You. I've bought all pointed Haynes manuals yesterday locally.

I'll have to get Steve's TVR S Series from amazon, so it should be delivered in few days.

Hi Manix

check out the WIKI's at the top of the S page for quite a lot of info

the Steve Heath book is a must, yours being an S1 there are some very knowledgeable people most of them are also on the facebook TVR S Series Owners and Enthusiasts page.

Hi Manix0

Congratulations on buying an S.

I've just rebuilt a 1988 TVR 280s same as yours and I found that just about all the knowledge I needed was on this forum.

I also used a Ford Capri Haynes manual (engine and gearbox) but perhaps the most useful book to me was the Haynes Fuel Injection manual 1978 - 1989.

My car had stood for 12 years so the fuel system was in a poor state and took a long time to figure out what was wrong.

Pistonheads used to be very good, all the information is still there if you search, but far more going on on Facebook these days.

Are you aware of TVR Club Belgium ?

Or this group TVR S Series owners ... smile

Hi Manix0. As others have already said, there doesn't seem to be any PDFs of a workshop manual around. The closest is Steve Heath's book which you can still find here http://www.shpub.co.uk/ (he seems to be closed because of COVID-19 at the moment).

It is a nice resource to have, but I seem to always fall back to the Forums or just figuring things out myself. The S-series is a pretty simple car to work on once you start doing things yourself.

The engine, where you may need a bit more info was used on a multitude of other cars, like Sierras and Scorpios, but also American stuff like Ford Bronco IIs and Ford Rangers.
