Another dumb chassis question, sorry!

I've an 89 S2 that's in need of some chassis work & waxoiling(?) anyone know of a reputable (and not overly expensive) place in the North Cheshire/Greater Manchester area.

What Kind of Chassis Work ??

If you mean a general rub down , painting and waxoyling.

Had mine done, a couple of years ago, can't remember the exact price but it was definately on the right side of £100.

I doubt you'll get it at that price these days !

Ive just spent about 20 hours over the past month or so sanding my chasis down to the metal and re-coating with Hammerite products. Just paid for my local garage to Waxoyl it and the waxoyl alone was £75....if you want a proper chasis rub down to the metal and then painting & wax i'd expect £500 minimum.

However if you only need a light clean up and a waxoyl coat then yeah £100 would do it at the right place.

I didnt particularly enjoy the job but its a good result & will last for many years

Well I have just completed some major chassis work on an S3 (new outrigger, front section, protective coating etc) and have the facilities for future work .Only problem is I am a little further south(!) in Oxfordshire
