Batteries for a V8s

As per the title really as the search is down again. What's the best battery for a V8s as mine is well past its best. I also think it looksa little bit small so what's the size that I should be looking for?

I bought a big Bosch (I'm sure someone will confirm which one is best) was brilliant never had any issues, there's a 5 year warranty too. Just but the biggest that will fit :-)

cost me £65 with 2 year warrenty had no problems with it always gets me started

Aswell as getting correct size, terminal layout etc it may be important to make sure the lugs moulded into the case suit your vehicles clamping arrangement?

Not a problem if you use a ratchet strap

It's in the boot on the V8s.
With an electric boot release

Can't find the invoice for my last battery, bought from my very helpful, local Motorist Discount (2009)who did the research to find one that would fit the tray nicely:

it's around 5/6 years old, looks good as new - still starts up first turn (although car has been garage bound for just over 2yrs now) I charge battery up every few weeks.

I'd love to hear what they have to say as mine needs replacing. I've always favoured Bosche batteries and the S5 comes with a 5 year warranty. Eurocarparts are particularly competitive, offering 20% off with the code ALL20.

New battery fitted, a varta blue. Its 70AH and a crank of EN:630A. The car turns over so much faster and fires far more easily now.

Battery only cost £80t with a 4 year warranty too which was a good result.

It also fits my battery tray in the rear neatly, the tray is 180x280 approximately. Pitty thats all rusty though, maybe the next thing to be powdercoated or replacement to be made.

Also the electric boot release isnt a problem on mine as its not ever had one fitted!
