Cheers for the wave, I was running a bit late so couldn't stop, which will teach me for driving too slowly up Snake Pass! Besides, I get the feeling it won't be the only sunny evening you'll be stood outside the place!!!
Yes, the hood is now black and looks a lot better thanks to Renovo, my only problem with it is that in certain light conditions you can still see a touch of the blue -I did try to order twice the amount of dye, but the bloke talked himself out of the sale!

Stuff works pretty well -bit of a pain to sort out though, it's very runny (being water based) so tends not to stick to vertical sections of the header.
Got a kit, cleaner, dye, waterproofer and screen polish. About £40 I think, I'm reasonably happy with the results

The centre roof sections are a doddle since they come off and lay flat. Practice with these first.
If you're not going to take the roof header off, mask everything, rear screen, around boot etc etc and put a sheet over the seats. There will be a lot of dye flicked off the brush given its consistency. It also has a tendendency to run under masking tape so be careful. The upside to this is it's very easy to get off paintwork etc, even when dry
You can take colours darker i.e. blue to black, but not the other way round. My advice is to take your time over the job, maybe two days over a weekend and be patient, building up the colour. There's enough dye in the bottle (1 litre I think) to give the hood about three good coats -I wasn't patient (as ever) and rushed it a bit in one day, I might have gotten a better finish with a bit more time....having said that you can presumably repeat as required.
The waterproofer is the most impressive, the plastic screen polsih the least, oh yeah the dye smells lovely too
