I can choose any colour I like in the world, my S1 goes to the paint-shop tomorrow for full respray, it's got a light tan hood, I don't want a colour that's popular, I want something that shows the car's curves
Ideas and links please.......

Can't show pics due to being on my phone, but some good pics on google images in dark green (ie brg) with light tan hoods. Also black looks good too. Dark colours in high gloss also show curves well (ie cat woman wink )

I'm loving the metallic grey of mine, and I bet it would look even better with a tan top:

Some call it green, some blue. It's grey.

a metallic Orange would be a brave yet awesome choice - this is Lotus Orange Chrome

some of the lambo colours are amazing too, especially the Diablo SE30 Purple (not sure of the name)

Ferrari do a lovely metallic grey called Canna Di Fucile

another great Ferrari colour is Tdf Blue (tour de france blue)

the beauty of some of these metallics is that they can change colour with different light levels (unlike flat paints)

BMW Diamond Black and BMW Carbon Black are good too
both have other elements in them as opposed to just black.
Diamond Black has tiny sparkles in the paint which makes it look like a very very dark grey at times
and Carbon Black has elements of blue that show through in certain lights.

ps - most of those pics are thumbnails that will open into bigger pics if clicked.

Has to be Mist Blue yum and it`s a TVR colour, not borrowed from another manufacturer.

If you have the money I'd have one of the later car flip paints - they are just stunning IMHO. Expensive and skill needed to apply I think.

Yes, you're right, I've still got time to decide, been round the car dealerships this morning, looking for inspiration. I don't want too dark or too light, but I do want a deep rich colour, can't have green( Missus won't let me!), so am narrowing my choices slowly.

Just an idea, but if you have grand turismo on ps3, you can play with all colours there. If you have the TVR V8S in your collection, your laughing as you can try out as many colours as possible and muck about with wheels and spoliers too at no real cost!!
