Last night I finally got round to finishing the the refit of my refurbed steering rack, ouch my back is tender this morning!
Before removing I did many check measurments so have the rack, new track rod ends etc to within a couple of mm.
My question is to those of you who have done this job, is it advisable to take with me the steering setup settings that are in the FAQ of this forum or would this not be required?

Thanks in advance

Probably advisable even if its only to check against the setting info the garage may have. Had a 4 wheel laser alignment check done on mine and the garage downloaded the settings from the website of their equipment supplier. Turned out my home adjustments between 2 planks of wood with a tape measure were almost spot on.

My indie garage set mine up without any difficulty, aligned the steering wheel and so must be an entry they can check with, as they are not a specialist of any maker.
So I would say its OK

I took the measurements when I had mine set up. I had the car set up on a Hunter machine which is quite sophisticated. A good thing that I took the dimensions as they did not have the S on their database and there was a look of relief on their faces when I produced my sheet of paper.

Best to check the data though. I find it easy to get mm and degree measurements confused. The figures I used are from the alternative parts list under running gear settings, BUT SEE THE NOTE REFERENCE CAMBER. It should be negative!

Thanks for the replies.
I have printed both from the FAQ and the parts list making note of the Camber Changes.
I will go to Feltham Tyres near Heathrow as they too use the Hunter System.
