The 2 air intake pipes (between 'Pipecross' airfilter and plenum chamber) on my S3C are in urgent need of replacement. Pipes are 60 mm ID. Anyone know where to get hold of these - in UK or Scandinavia ?

I'm not sure of the diameter, but MOSS UK who supply MG and TR spares sell simular pipes for the early MG Midgets heater air supply.

But I'm sure you can buy the original bits from Ford.

Try a hydraulic hose supplier but make sure you get a hose that doesn't collapse under vacuum. Flmsy ones used for tumble dryer outlets don't work!

Yep. Had a very hot day at Goodwood and was loosing about 80 bhp on the 520 cos I couldn't get cold air into the engine. Popped into B&Q that night to try and sort out the problem but the tumble dryer stuff collapsed and blocked the air. Ended up using wet towels on top of the plenum to keep it cool.

Now have twin 80mm air ducts fitted. Much better.
