Sanding (I hate sanding)

Hi All
After 2 days of sanding I am nearly there with the body, I was surprised to see how filler there was with no damage to the inner panels, It is all under the factory primer so must have been done in the factory, either bad moldings or clumsy workers.
Just a bit of filling to do and ready for primer. Next year be on the road.

Bloomin 'ell - those Midget vents polished up well. Might have to polish mine now, not that anyone will see them tucked away in the foot well.
Regards sanding, its great fun compared to cutting out rusty metal, welding in new and stripping old paint from a Midget shell. I kept reminding myself that I wouldn't have to do the welding if I still had a TVR and after 18 months I'm growing rather tired of it.

Hi Alan,
Personally, I love the original colour of your body tub ( Aqua Blue ), but you did say earlier this year that you were going for red, & after all that sanding, you are entitled to go for any colour you fancy.
It's going to be a unique car in the best TVR tradition, & I'm looking forward to seeing the finished article.
Me, I would go for TVR purple & yellow just to make a statement.
I'm sure Peter Wheeler would fully endorse your efforts, it's an awesome project.
It's true that colour does have an effect on speed, consider Usain Bolt....

Hi Mike.
The chassis is back from the exhaust guys this weekend, I was going to do the manifolds my self, Tig welding not bad but don't have time with extra work, so after working costs out it was down to a local company.
With the twin turbo's I should have 500+ hp on tap, I was thinking of a badge that said TVR 500 S for the back.

That was 4 hours to clean up around the windscreen rebate, I bet there is a easy way to do this, I used a thin blade so I did not damage the body work to remove excess rubber stuff and finished off with 40 grit in the rebate, Just got to sand the engine bay and the bit in the picture
