Won't idle, cutting out???
Discussion
I had my S3 serviced about two weeks ago and it was running a treat. I have since had it on axle stands because the wheels have been away to be refurbished. Put the wheels back on yesterday started the car and drove out of the garage and it won't idle keeps cutting out. I can't see anything obvious under the bonnet - any clues anyone please?

Try disconnecting the TPS which puts the ECU in limp home mode
This is your answer to everything!!!
butin this instance a good first point of call. My TPS hadn't failed but disconnecting and re-connecting cured my "misfire" issue. However, apologies to go off topic slightly, what finish did you go for on your wheel refurb; and who did you use - local or "mail order" as it were, i.e. courier service?
I'm being advised by a recommended "mail order" refurb company to go original polished and I'm wondering if the cleaning regime might be a bit too much even for me.
Cheers,
Max

Thanks folks, seems to be running better today, to be honest I think it needs a good run out has been standing for a couple of weeks.
regarding the wheel restoration we used Pristinealloywheels.co.uk at Milton Keynes. 01908 282628. They sent a courier to pick them up and return them and they have been restored and re lacquered, it took about four days and they have made an excellent job. I would recommend them thoroughly.
