Hello, I'm plotting a return to TVR ownership and to find myself an S3 - mostly by being led astray by TurboTony !!!

Anyway, what are your favourite colours to show off the shape of the S series best?

Thanks

Yes, like it very much. Classic colour for a classically shaped British sports car !

Although I had a green one my favourite combination is dark metallic blue with magnolia interior no question.

Everyone's just going to say their own car, aren't they hehe

I've always liked dark blue but someone posted up a pic of a white car with black/anthracite wheels that looked fantastic. I'd never have thought it before I saw it. Need to try & find the pic.

Probably, but I do genuinely like red with magnolia interior for the S.

To me, needs to be a loud colour to go with the loud exhaust - each to their own.

And colour has to suit the car - not all red cars look good. If this was on the CHIM forum, I'd say yellow, bright pearlescent yellow!!!!!!!

I agree red is by far the best colour. By the way, did you know that not only did TVR use many many parts from other manufacturers, they also "borrowed" paint as well. The red is actually Ferrari red. If it is good enough for them ...

.
Another vote for . . . . .Green, apparently its the fastest colour.
A thread on another subject debated this and confirmed Cooper Green is the fastest colour for TVR's.
Although I believe the tan interior is better than the brown that I have in mine.
May go with replacement tan seats and upholstery paint dash etc.

Green metallic! Second choice solid red, third is mica blue.

One question. Have you ever seen a TVR with spots? There is a forum for spotted TVRs but I've never seen one.

Cheers
Tony

I bought a blue one but actually prefer the S in red , as stated before it suits the old school styling .............

Love the dark coloured cars with light interiors personally.

BUT white with black interior looks particularly good on the S confused

Green, green, green, green, green...British Racing.. that is. Why would you want it to look like an italian car?

..and it is the fastest...do we need to prove this?!...;)

And it provides good camouflage...except in the snow...

But you need the darkest colour possible to contrast with the snow! Otherwise you would never find your TVR. Black must be a rare colour. Are you sure that it isn't really very dark green?

I do like the red very much - in fact extremely I'm tempted by a lovely looking red one on James Agger's website.

Dark blue is a lovely colour, very discreet and sophisticated. But does that suit an S series ?

And I like the greens - I've seen British Racing, Cooper Green (which I assume is a Mini colour) TurboTony has an unusual metallic Green which I've not seen before.

Never seen a black one - must be a devil to polish !!
