Just had some moron in a white van drift onto my side of a 50mph road. Hit brakes, swerved, smashed into high kerb, came off almost sideways, couple of fishtails and managed to get back control. Thought the bloody car was going to flip. Underpants are ruined.
Destroyed two wheels and both tyres ruined. Front suspension looks OK. Need to look at rear. Not happy.
Supposed to be doing the HRCR rally in two weeks. Not sure if I can get it repaired in time. Anyone know of a couple of ten spoke wheels going spare?

I know exactly how you're feeling right now, had similar experience in deepest Essex, the day before our Spa Tour in May.
Oncoming

Hugged nearside verge, hit enormous hidden pothole, burst tyre, buckled wheel.

I thought "That's my trip finished then", but Wicked Wheels were able to sort me out in a couple of hours. Amazing what they can do. There's probably a franchise near you, check em out.

No he did not stop. To be honest I was so relieved I didn't crash that I forgot to look before he was gone. It happened so quickly all I remember was it was a white transit. I expect he was on his mobile or looking at delivery notes.
Anyway, now I have calmed down and looked, as far as I can see the suspension is OK (although I will have a closer look tonight). The tyres both have bulges so they are ruined but the wheels look OK apart from the faces being ground down from contact with the kerb. So plan A (subject to deeper inspection tonight) is to replace the tyres, check tracking and then have the wheels refurbed by Lepsons again once rally is completed.
