Chassis CAD drawing

I want to put together a chassis CAD drawing as my next project now the cooling system is sussed. I am currently playing around in Google Sketchup as it is easy and free but I am seriously lacking dimensions. I know someone had a CAD drawing years ago but it seems to have disappeared and I'm sure Norman (Gerald TVR) put a dimensioned drawing up at some point but I can't find it.

Does anyone have any drawings, dimensions or even CAD models I could work from?

Hopefully I'll be able to construct an accurate(ish) model of the S1/S2, S3, and S4/V8S chassis with enough information, well thats my dream anyway.

Any and all help appreciated!

Well I was sort of hoping it had and someone had a model. I actually want to do some finite element analysis on the chassis but I need a CAD model first but I can't find one hence trying to make one.

I'm pretty sure that Norman did one - I've got a copy of it in all the info I got with my car.

Just checked - it's a 3D CAD drawing but there are no dimensions. I would bet on Norman having all the info though!

Does it have any dimentions or is it just the layout? I'm quite happy to draw it up in CAD.

Interesting topic. What CAD packages are you folks using?

Orange-dodo - I guess you have access to FEA at work?

I'm rather rusty as it's a few years since I did any CAD/CAE/FEA but be interested to know what you think about cheap/free CAD packages out there.

My copy doesn't - I could scan it and post it up if that would help/Norman doesn't mind?

I am sure someone did a drawing in a professional cad package - not sure if it was PH Trickjohn try looking through his old posts via his profile. Was a few years back.
