Hi All.

I have had my lovely S for nearly 3 years now. In this time we have been over the Alps, around Scotland and even managed a lap of the Nurburgring and we have never been left road side. More importantly, it has given myself and Jane a large circle of new friends, all of which we hope to keep in contact with.

I have had a hankering for a Griff for some time and today was the day that a Griff took up residency at my house. Its a 5lt HC and the list of jobs has already started. The first being an oil change and a hunt for a leak which I hope is just a rocker cover gasket. Funny enough, after a recent engine rebuild on my S, it is now leak free and runs a treat.

I will be checking in on the S forum regularly. Never been on a forum full of both very helpful and P++s takers alike such as this one. Great. Thanks for everyone's help. Including Jim Ed who I bought the car off. He has kept an eye on me to make sure I look after the old motor. biggrin

I aim to get to S club later this month but know I will have to park at the back out of the way and hang my head in shame! cry

On the plus side, my old mate Allan is taking ownership of my S next week. I have made sure he will be joining this forum shortly and I guess he will be along to say hi at some point soon.

Cheers, Stew and Jane.

Stew sorry to see you and Jane leave the fold, always fun seeing you guys at SCH and on holiday!! Saying that the Griff is a very pretty car so I can understand why. Not like some people who go off and buy a Chim CoughLiamCough hehe

Glad your staying with the brand though so you have half an excuse to come to S meets. Although saying that you know the piss taking is only going to get worse!! evil

Still not sure if I'm coming up to SCH12 mk2 but see you there if I do.

Enjoy the Griff driving

Tom

Hi Tom.
I fully expect the piss taking to begin as I would be the first in line if it was someone else who had left the fold. That is why S owners are so great.
Still plan on doing another trip next year if I am aloud and will attend the S meetings when possible.
Cheers Stew.

Cheers Han.
I known Al will look after her and I still hope to be an honorary S member and fully expect every bit of piss taking that may come my way.
Stew.

Anywhere else the correct spelling would be "allowed", but on any TVR forum, "aloud " is probably correct.
Good luck with your Griff, hope the weight of that huge medallion doesn't slow you down too much.
Come to S Club, & show us all your nice new P & J.
Cheers,
Glen.

Have a great time with your new Griff. I’m sure the new owner of your “S” appreciates what a lovely and well sorted car he’s got. Unfortunately I won’t be at S-Club but looking forward to seeing you both, and the car, on the next Euro trip, if not before.

Believe me, I do, I sit next to Stew at work and know all the ups and downs he has experienced with her, this also means, that I will have to make sure I take good care of her. At least good advice will only be a few feet away.
Cheers Al

Thanks All.

Will be keeping in touch that is for sure.

Funny you should mention the pedals Gary. The first griff I tried was a stretch to say the least, but the one I have got is better so I will be OK. If I shrink as I get older I will have to get a pair of platform shoes.

Stew, you HAVE explained all the bonnet question/comments Al is going to get!!!

I knew you mentioned the yearning for something griff on ths years EuroTour - cant fault you but the pi$$ take will be relentless.

Pedal box fitted to the giff I take it ( or blocks of wood tied to your shoes)?

Hope to see you at SClub.

Hi Stew & Jane

Sorry to see you leave the fold - but really hope you enjoy the Griff as much as you did the S. driving

Hopefully see you at S Club (although, sadly, I'm still restricted to the day car) - keep in touch.

Cheers

Congratulations Stew. I don't want a Griff. Horrible cars. Not jealous. At all. hehe

Got any photo's yet? Not that I like Griff's or will one day hopefully have the funds to swap my S for one you understand wink

Cheers All.

Tomorrow will be a sad day as the S is going, but I know Allan will look after her so not all bad. The list of jobs has already started on the Griff. Oil and filter changed, exhaust manifold blow sorted, washer bottle drained and cleaned. Starting with the small stuff and will work up to the the rest.
If all goes to plan see you at S club.
Stew.
