Just been under the car for the first time and noticed that one of the yellow rubbers at the top of the rear shocks (Gaz Golds) which I assume are the bump stops appears to be split - the shocks were fitted in 2004 all round - Any advice?

If the shocks are anything like the Avo's I have then they need disassembly to fit the new bump stop which the manufacturer will have to do.

I assume they are solid bump stops rather than ones that are fitted by using the split to get it on the shaft?

Yes - the other side is still one piece

How long would a set of these typically last?

Ages I would have thought, unless you've bottomed out heavily which could I guess have split it?

Thanks Mike - I'll give them a call - invoice shows they were supplied by them. May have been when I got slightly airborne near Alston!
