Sold the S3... (sad times)

I have had to sell my pride & joy, gutted.

After my wife & I had our 1st child, it's just been too hard to justify keeping a 2 seater car, when we do everything as a family. Even cleaning it(I do take friggin ages!) got tricky, after working all week, giving up a good chunk of the weekend for a drive and clean didn't make sense.

The car has gone to a fellow Pistonheader, so look out for him on here, I know he's going to love it, and take good care of the ol'girl.

Big, big thanks to you lot for answering all my qustions over the past four years, it makes owning a TVR all the better.

Many thanks wanacoop (Tony) for yesterday, it was a pleasure doing the deal with you throughout. I can see that you have looked after her well and I assure you that I will continue to do so. Having left you yesterday evening about 7.45 I drove circa 240 miles home arriving home at 02.30 trying my best not to wake the neighbours while reversing her into the drive.
I took it at a steady 65-70mph all the way, taking regular breaks, keeping a keen eye on the temp guage and oil pressure. All was fine and the roof came off afer work today for a drive. That's something I haven't done in a few years, go for a drive for the sheer pleasure of it.

I had one of them! For precisely the reasons stated.. It was interesting that the TVRCC allowed us to attend their meets, we felt like the "poor relations from the country" allowed to see the "succesful folk from the big city" but it was great fun. Still miss my Scimmie..

Tony (Wannacoop), my sympathy for your sad decision, but kids come first & I don't think TVR did a Cerb convertible.

You'll find yourself " popping out for a bit" quite a lot now.
I quite understand why it took 6hrs:45mins to do 240 miles
But I don't know how to avoid waking up the neighbours at 2:30am.
You might as well play a Bryan Adams track at no.11 on the volume setting.

Anyway, you're in for miles of smiles, enjoy your 'S'.

You're right about popping out a lot. Over the last couple of days I keep forgetting things that need to be done which involve taking the car out.

For me it was about 12 minutes.

Knew it was a mistake from the moment I handed over the keys.
