Hiya cheers for the info , I normally use a full size covers for some of my cars , but get a bit fed up with all the grime and dirt left over the body , after drive .At that price you can leave it on anywhere , would'nt bother me if a hoodie took a shine to it. Bought 3 for the ragtops ...

Hi guys,

I bought the same item last Sept, slightly dearer but still under a fiver, and to be honest found it totally inadequate in our climate. It needs a lot more elastic straps to hold it in anything more than a gentle breeze, it's nearly zero waterproof, and balloons & flaps like mad in a strong wind.
On the plus side, it stops bird droppings, leaves & tree sap from permeating the roof & back window, and would be ideal for use inside a garage or barn. It's also very lightweight & compact.

For all-season outdoor use, I thoroughly recommend the Leven car hood cover.
Also fairly thief-proof,it tucks under the bonnet & bootlid, but still allows the owner easy access to the car without fiddling with tie-down straps etc in a gale.

Yer gets wot yer pays for.

Hi glen, fully understand that is the cheapskates version , as it is just for light use only , especially as we have all this changeable dodgy weather at the moment ,this easy to throw over the car when parked up , if I take car to work , saves me a wet ar5e, especially the mgb .

I bought it purly as an emergancy stand by that i can carry in the during our showery summers. if it gets nicked its only 2 quids worth. i do have a pucker cover to use when the old girl is wintered.

Chaps - any recommendations for a full car cover? If you google lots of cover companies seem to do them, just wondering which is best?

Hiya , for a decent set of full car covers, all year round use , I bought mine from coverzone In Worthing I'n Sussex , choose between stormforce and monsoon . These have straps , and you can feel the quality, make sure you get mirror pockets . They have covers I'n stock to fit tvr's ,
around £150 quid I think , so far no problems , keeps car dry , allowing moisture to escape .....

yeh i agree with Kie. i had a monsoon cover for my BGT. it wes kept outside for 2 winters. realy sturdy cover. the car was always dry when the cover was removed.

Well its been presisting down all night up here in Aberdeenshire. glad to report that the cover is still in one piece.and the interior of the car is dry.
Anyway i,am off to Turkey for two weeks.i'll leave the cover on till i get back.

Hi Charles , that's great that the cheapskates packamac is still in one piece , and kept the s dry .as you know you have the best weather up there. The remarkable things is, it's as cheap as a big bag of chips.
