Clutch Slave Cylinder Won’t Bleed?

Having disconnected and removed the clutch master cylinder while doing the Fiesta brake master cylinder/servo conversion I reconnected everything last night and tried bleed the slave cylinder but no fluid came out of the bleed valve. The level in the master dropped slightly but nothing out of the valve even when completely removed!!!! Gears seem to engage ok when stationary [haven’t tried driving it yet] and good pedal force.

Is this normal and how much clutch arm travel should there be?

Secondly can I fit the fluid warning sender/lid from the SAAB – seems to fit.

The same thing happened to me a couple of years ago, no matter how much I tried nothing came out of the slave bleed nipple, because the gears worked ok I left it alone and all was well for 2 years or so when I had to renew the slave itself, good luck.

might be an airlock in the slave....bleed nipple closed...get someone to press and hold the clutch pedal in.....push slave piston back in and hold...open bleed nipple...hopefully you will get a few bubbles and then clutch fluid...close bleed nipple....fingers crossed...job done

I know mine's a chim but I bled my slave cylinder by pulling fluid through, using a
syringe with some small bore transparent tubing attatched. Did it until no more bubbles
were evident in the tubing, was no need to pump that pedal. Seemed to work fine.
