As the topics appear to be manly about problems. I would like to post a small issue that I have with the fuel gauge on my S3. It was very erratic for months and now has finally given up the ghost. It lays there languishing on empty, even with at least quarter of a tank. Any ideas as to how I can check what is wrong. I've check the gauge by earthing the connections and it hits full every time. So it would appear to be the kit within the tanks that's the problem. Any help or knowledge of what may be the problem would be appreciated in resolving this, as driving not knowing how much fuel I have is unnerving, but does promote a more sensible attitude to speed (BOO!!) I suspect it means a trip to a local specialist, which in my case would be Tower View Racing. Any help please !!

I had a similar problem on a different model which had the swinging type sender. The cracked plastic float filled with fuel!

I know this sounds unlikely but check the earth connection on your aerial! My fuel gauge stopped working when I had the aerial disconnected to repair it and started working again once reconnected. Not what the circuit diagram shows, but this is TVR electrickery
