New Bezels and a Voltage Question....
Discussion
Hi Guys, been a while since I posted as I've been waiting for Speedycables to return my instrument gauges. It's stage 1 of my interior re-furb - modifying the existing black bezels with the brushed aluminium ones pictured. I like them a lot - I'm sure the break from originality isn't for everyone but I think it looks smart. The next stage is to find a suitable brushed aluminium trim to bead around the heater control, gearstick gaitor and ideally the electric window switches too.... any ideas?

I'm looking for a brushed aluminium gearknob and handbrake handle too but that shouldn't be too difficult as there is plenty of choice around.
One issue I have now is that the Voltmeter shows a +14V charge with ignition at stage 1 and +15-16V with engine running..... Do you think I've mixed the connections up when re-fitting the voltmeter? The car had sat idle in my garage for 7 weeks while waiting for the gauges so I expected the battery to be low - obviously something is wrong at the gauge end as it indicates 16V from a 12V battery whereas it used to indicate 11V at ignition stage 1?
My S2 passed it's MOT today by the way - no advisories!! Happy days - for anyone based in the South West I'd recommend Frampton Garages which is just North of the M4 at the Bristol end - they've done 3 in the last couple of months, including mine, with no dramas.
Cheers guys, just looking to get final quotes for a retrim now and see if I can fit it in before S Club.....
