Anybody know which model sierra the driveshaft for a V8S came from, or if anybody does an uprated shaft?

Do you mean the prop shaft? Why do you need to uprate it?

If you mean the driveshaft from the diff to the wheel hub then contact brummmie in the cerbera section, he's had some made up after suffering numerous failures and seems to have found some bullet proof ones now.

Hi
If you are talking about the shafts from the diff to the hubs, I think they are Sierra both the smaller of the two, if you look the diff is offset to the off /side so both shafts are the same length, I think all the Sierras had the same length shafts other than the Cosworths which used different spines but I think they were the same length.
I think this link will help with the differant types.

If it's the half shafts you're after, a worthwhile upgrade if you're breaking them is to get them made with a forged shoulder instead of the inner circlip groove; you can also get them made from much better material than the OEM shafts. I forget who supplied mine but he also supplies Prolinx so you could get in touch through them. Or contact PHer Purple Helmut at GKN Driveline, I believe he does this type of thing.

Thanks for the info, located some from DG, going to stick with standard for now. Weak link might save breakage somewhere else!
