larger exhaust

Hi Dave,
there's an aftermarket stainless system available for the V6 which apes the V8 tailpipe arrangement. Sounds incredible (not subtle in the least!). It was on both S's already when I bought them. I think they used to be available from Dulford, so I'm guessing David Gerald would be a good place to start if you're looking to buy one.
Regards

My car has an after market exhaust (that I didn't fit) that looks like the V8 one. It looks exactly like one from ACT or TVR Car Parts called a stainless sports exhaust or something like that but unfortunately ACT don't have a picture on their site any more and TVR Car Parts aren't trading at the moment.
Here is a picture of the back of my car nabbed from mep12345's website (hope you don't mind Mark).

ETA: Ahh Neil you'd know all about this too!

Hi Tom,
Still enjoying the S, then? I bought another, an S3, about a year or so after you bought mine - same exhaust but it's not quite as loud as the old one......
Droopy passenger door and a poorly fitted bonnet with a severe case of lacquer peel , interior nowhere near as nice as the red one. Drives well though!
ETA - Leaks like a bas*ard too!

Oh yeah, having a great time but seem to be spending a fortune on it even when I'm trying not to! Currently have the rear suspension in pieces and the bonnet suspended from the ceiling. I've got to get it back together this weekend which should be fun!Still enjoying the S, then? I saw you'd bought a new one, sounds like you have a lot of tinkering to do with it. Saying that i'm not sure any S doesn't need a lot of tinkering

Hopefully see you at a meet soon.
Sounds like you've been busy in the garage, Tom.
Mine's been laid up all winter ; I had every intention of going to town on it so it would be ready for, well, this time of year and all I've managed is to do is renovate the hood and paint the drums and calipers.
Bonnet needs sorting urgently, as does the droopy door as there's no point having the paintwork done beforehand....
Always something to do on an S............
ETA : sorry for the thread hijack Dave. I seem to recall the V8-style exhaust system costing around £350.

I know Neil (TVR Car Parts) had them made locally and these could well have been the manufacturers as they were within a few miles of TVR Car Parts http://www.stainlesssteelexhausts.com/
