s3 heater control

does anyone know what car the heater slider on the s3 dash panel is from? its the curved one that fits in front of the panel.i think it was fitted to s2's as well.any help welcome as the tvr garage keeps sending me the wrong one.
also anyone had probs with their spedo on the s3.mine wont work when the car is cold,once its up to temp it starts working fine!
