How much for a tatty S1

A mate of mine has an S1 on an E plate,Ash green with tan interior that is currently garaged and not been run for about 6 months.Prior to that it was used daily and has about 90,000 miles on it.
The interior is really tatty,needing a complete retrim,carpets etc.It could do with a respray too,but mechanically it is pretty sound,has recent tyres and steering rack,etc.
How much is it worth?
I was considering making him an offer and using it as a track day car.

About £4K 'ish'. Maybe less if it's really bad.

A year ago I was selling an S1, spotless, 65K new roof, fsh, etc, etc. It was advertised as 'best offer secures'. I had no enquiries for weeks, so I part exchanged it for £4,500.

I Wouldn't pay more than 3-3.5k... there was a similar one for sale as a project in PH for sale section for 3k a while ago..

Sounds similar to my S1, and you can have that for £2.5K if you want. £4K is way over the top!!!!
