Took the dimensions to a local tube stockist & fabricators and he quoted me £20 the pair in mild steel, when I picked them up he'd no correct size mild steel in stock so had made them in stainless....same price !

Sorry about delay, had a really busy day and they weren,t where I thought they were. Do these look like what you are looking for? I have so many spares it took a while to find them but I did find a few 2.8 stainless swirltanks while I was looking and a brand new factory steering rack (cant be many of them still around). Also found in loft a pair of Bridgestone RE71 tyres. 205/60/15 (original fitment to "S" Series) with between 6 and 7 mm tread. These have been dry stored in dark for many years if they float anybody,s boat.

They look like the right ones.Ive provisionally made a booking with a local garage who will custom build me and fit some for £100.
What were you looking to get for yours.
Many thanks mike

Hi Steve, are you going to Chatsworth next month? If you are, I'd be interested in one of your finest stainless S1 swirl tanks, if you could bring one along.

I spoke to you last year and you showed me an example then, but that was four months before I bought my S1.

Will you be bringing your lovely little Vixen again? (or just the car?)
Sorry about that, I couldn't help it!

See you then perhaps.

Cheers buddy, pity you didn,t post that before I spent time finding, photographing and posting my reply. Still I,m sure "custom" made is a good alternative to precision jig built, mandrel bent 304 Austenitic Stainless Steel. I,ll just stick mine back in the loft. sTeVeR.

I am sure Lili would be impressed at being called a "little vixen" but my car is an old Grantura, all I can afford. I have no idea if I will be at Chatsworth, I seem to waste so much time recently its difficult to fit everything in.
