Hi All.
I put one of the drive shafts in today, looking at the angle it looks as if the diff wants to be lifted at the back, I have replaced the rear mount but its back in the same position and inline with the gearbox, anybody have a picture of the drive shaft angle with the body on so I can see if I have got something wrong, I have the body weighted same as with the body on, any thoughts will be appreciated.
The tank cradel in only sat there so it looks a bit squify.
Anybody have a drive shaft they can measure end to end for me.

Forgive me if I'm stating the bleeding obvious, and it's hard to tell from the angle of those photos, but it does look to me as if you have the ride height set very low. The trailing arms seem to point upwards to the rear, much more than I would expect - I would expect them to be much nearer to level.
Alan - if you search on ride height they talk of front and rear corners of the out riggers to ground around 190mm rear /175mm front. You should be able to adjust that with a combination of spring rate / spring platform (assuming coilovers) or relocating the upper mount possition. The common thought also show spring rates around 450ish front / 375ish rear seam to work much better than the lower standard (raising) rate springs. I have gone with these along with Griffith Bilsteins converted to coilovers.
By the way what is the weight have you put on the chassis - I will try the same thing and give you my measurements.

Hi Mick.
I had about 350 lb in faceplates and about 150 lb in a piece of 1 1/2 " steel plate on there, I know the wheels are about 40 mm larger so it should be 20 higher from the centre line, going to look at relocating the shock mounts tomorrow, re spring rates I have a few sets of springs from 350 to 650 lb so I can try a few this weekend and see what works the best, I have 450 lb on now and the spring plates are wound up quite a bit, the deck height is 170 back and 160 on the front with the body on.
