The Dash Gauges on a V8s

HI,

I would like to change the 4 gauges that are mounted in the leather pannel

I presume they are all normal 52mm fittings, before i stare pushing and pulling and generally nearly breaking things .

Do they pull out or dois there a fixing bracket behind and if so how do i remove the leather pannel.

I looking at replacing with VDO / Racetech or going full out and getting Stack gauges

Has anyone every replaced them ? can i use the existing sensors and senders ?

Any help or advise would be great.

You'll need to pull the whole dash moulding back to get at the rear of the guages so you can undo the brackets and wiring. It's not easy but it's just 4 screws and not as bad as removing the veneered panel. I doubt you'll have any problem finding a home for the old ones!

Make that 4 screws and 2 bolts. The 4 screws are at the top of the dash and the bolts are on either side of the lower part of the dash. The photo shows the 2 screws on the drivers side. There’s a similar layout on the passenger side. Not all 4 screws will necessarily be there of course.

That looks suspiciously like my conservatory floor! - I still haven't got rid of that S3c dash. It has however made it from conservatory to attic.......

Wow so the whole dash has to come out to change the 4 small gauges ? thats a bummer if it does
