Under the bonnet

Silly question time. Im new to TVRs and on my '88 S1,
the flat surface, just under the bonnet, on the drivers side (on top is the rear brake adjuster i believe), flexes when the brake pedal is depressed. Is this meant to happen?

The pedal box is attached directly to that bulkhead and the flex in the GRP bulkead is probably no more than you'd get with the same arrangement in metal. If however it seems a little too much then get along to a meet to compare it or get it checked out at a specialist.

Generally though I would say 'they all do that sir'...
