I have installed my MT75 box along with the cossy 24v and struggling a little with the clutch
The box usually has a cable...would it be easier to fit a cable pedal box

Hi Mick.
I think the old Sierra type would work as it has the auto adjust or you could just adapt the clutch pedal to your existing box, either way would work.

The standard type 9 gearbox was intended by Ford to be cable operated, its only a "Heath Robinson" bracket and pushrod concocted by TVR that adapts it to hydraulic.

I think it would be easier than adapting the pedal box to take a cable?

Always prefered hydraulic, cable snap = no clutch, hydraulic leak can often be topped up / pedal pumped to at least get you home scratchchin

I have no worries about driving with a snapped clutch cable....happened once just before going through the middle of Gateshead and Newcastle with wife and kids in the car and just turned it off each time I had to stop and then in gear start (a little bumpy but ok) and then match revs and speed to change...usually whent in with slight pressure as the two matched without crunching.

Triumph pedal box, which ironically was hydraulic in the TR6 but TVR converted to cable !

Hello mate sorry I've not been up to see your car super busy at the moment.

Don't Burtons do a hydraulic conversion for your box? Expencive no doubt.

Personally I am sticking with the t9 with rebuild long 1st and alloy top cover. Makes it a simple job but mine is only a road car.

Hope you sort it one way or the other.

Cheers Damian S3 (24v wannabe)

Hi Mick
If you have welding it should be quite an easy job to do, I have cut mine down to use a different brake and throttle pedal, I don't have a clutch pedal so I cut about 4" of the clutch pedal side, I can weld it for you if you don't have any welding gear.
