For some reason they wouldn't accept it as warranty but bill was very reasonable

That could have ended bad.I had an issue like this with one on my old car,and they did a swap for me,they did send me two rear shocks for the trouble.Mine were only two years old and had done little mileage,but hey they sorted it

No issues with quality of the shock, but did have a bit of an issue with a VW Caddy !

Yeah no problem


Maybe not as bad as it looks once you get all the shattered fibreglass out the way. All damage confined to replaceable parts, chassis (apart from the little square section for bonnet hinge) is ok so thanks to Norman and Ebay I think I have nearly everything sorted.
Servo was dented by the wheel going back, think it would still work but just "won" a Mk3 Fiesta one for £20 on Ebay. for that money there's no point in risking it.
Biggest expense so far has been radiator repair, it got sort of twisted, think it was weeping a bit anyway so a repair was on the cards but thanks to a very corroded one I salvaged from Joe I had a square and straight carcass to offer for re-core. Radiator mounting frame has hammered out straight with just a bad of welding required, they're a good solid lump of metal!

I'd forgotten about that. Great to hear it came in handy. How's the bonnet "mating" getting on?

Got every thing together, resin, matting, acetone etc. etc. had a little "practice" on the Taimar inner wings (few minor cracks and un-wanted holes) ready to attack the bonnets Sunday but got a call Saturday afternoon needed at work Sunday, wasn't impressed!

Anyway, for anyone who hasn't a clue what I'm on about (or who cares) there will be pictures and a few words once play commences.
