been planning and sorting the logistics of this since my return from the Scotland SClub Tour. set off this Friday 
(and yes i know Belgium is missing from the list)
sole purpose - Stelvio Pass.
there won't be (m)any updates whilst on the trip but there'll be plenty of pics on my return.
hope you like the pompus title.
me, the missus and 4 mates in 3 cars - the S3 of course plus a Mk3 MX5 and a Mk2 MX5.
chaved the car up for a laugh too.

hoping to make it an annual event - different venues each time. tried to keep costs down - hotels booked on line, no more than 40 euros per room per night and return ferry crossings for £64 can be done cheaper at different (un pleaseant) times.
there's a lot of miles included - time will tell if we've bitten off more than we can chew.

Sounds like a brilliant trip, I have done 500 miles in one day in my old S3c on a couple of occasions and to be honest i wouldn't like to have done more than that, if you keep your daily mileage sensible then it should be a blast, look forward to the pics when you return.
ps are you going near the Nurburgring ? it would be rude not to.

I read somewhere that you're not allowed race numbers on cars in Germany. IIRC it was an article in a Porsche mag where they drove a car from the factory to a race and back. Don't know how true it is or whether your 00 number even counts, but thought I'd just mention it before you go.

one word sums up my trip - DISASTER!!!
500 miles in on day 1 , just crossed the boarder form Luxembourg to Germany and the expansion tank split bringing me to a halt. And Germany is where we've spent the last 5 days. no spare sourced so flown home minus the car which is to follow in due course.
breakdown cover been brilliant even if at times difficult to get hold of and the journey home was convoluted and long winded!
