clutch pipe size
Discussion
I've just opened the packages for my new master and slave cylinders (justpurchased from Landyparts for a series 3 as other threads on here) and the pipe connections are different.
The master cylinder outlet is 3/16" (same as the brake system)
The slave inlet is 1/4"
I could pipe up with 3/16" (aeroquipe braided) and use a bango bolt at the slave end. Would this give enough fluid to operate the clutch or do I need to exchange the master cylinder for a one with a 1/4" outlet and go with 1/4" hose/pipe)

If you push the clutch pedal to the floor you must displace a set amount of fluid regardless of pipe size.
However, if that pipe is smaller there is a good chance you will make the clutch (maybe not noticeably) heavier.
Think of it like a bicycle pump, easy to pump if connected to nothing but put your finger over the end creating higher resistance (smaller pipe) and its harder to pump.
Well that's my theory anyway
Manufacturers, not just TVR must use larger pipe for a reason ?
