Corner weights

Any one corner weighted their S?
if so what figures did you get?
did it include driver/passenger/fuel

I'm after front and rear weights (approx) so I can work out what springs to buy for my coilovers.
unsprung length, which will give me force to compress to 8" (lowest platform to top dimension) then how much it will compress with the weight of the car and make sure they will not become coilbound befor using the available shocker stroke (2 1/2")

I'm probably going for 450 lb/in front and 375 rear - I just need the weights before I ring the spring manufacturers

To all intents and purposes it is 1000 Kgs divided equally between all four wheels. You can work out the leverage of the front and rear suspension and estimate the static loads on the springs. (I did work it out, but I can't be bothered to go hunt for the answer.)

For what it's worth my V8S weighs in at 1040kg with a half to two thirds of a tank of fuel and no driver/passenger. The weight distribution is 49.5% left-50.5% right, and 48% front-52% rear. I did have figures for my S3 but I can't find them - I don't think they were much different though.

I'm running 450lb/in front and 375lb/in rear as well. I think their free length was 8" all round but I need to check to be sure. If it would help I can attempt to measure their compressed (fitted) lengths tomorrow for you, which would give you the effective rate as fitted.

PS - how did you get on with the roof panels?
