S2 Handbrake Adjustment

Having read with intrest the trials ands tribulations of fellow "S" Drivers over the last year i would like to ask my first question.

How do you adjust the Handbrake/Shoes on the S2

Please note I do not have the Bible (Yet)

They are supposed to self adjust (but don't always) by sticking your foot on the brake and applying the handbrake. If the cable streches there is an adjuster at the rear of the transmission tunne which is a bit of a bitch to get to.

You could check the shoes to see if they are worn or the adjusters not working, some very careful application of copper slip may help, they are a little fidly to remove (see a sierra workshop manual).

Must do this myself, when it was serviced the hand brake came back working but after a week it stopped.
