I am hoping to tap into the wealth of experience regarding TVRs that members of this site are able to give. I am relatively new to TVR ownership and am the proud owner of a '92 K reg S3, one of the last made without a cataytic converter. My question is this..I want to send it to have a service (the last one having been carried out 12 months ago at a main dealer - never again. The quality of the work was superb, but the cost was incredible), but what items should I ensure are checked / changed etc. If it helps the car has done about 76K miles and, touch wood, has been absolutely fantastic - never ever missed a beat, always starts first time, altogether a joy to own. So I hope the kind readers on Pistonheads can help steer me in the right direction!

There are many people on this site who will recommend a variety of different garages, what they need to know first though is where abouts you live.

That will help to faocus on a specific garage or mechanic etc

Bjg,

I assume from your profile your midlands based, if so I can recomend David Geralds at Inkberrow, Worcs from experience. They know a lot about the S Series and are a recognised specialist.

They don't often have loan cars but will book you in for a service at a set time so you can read the paper in the pub next door.

Cheers,
JSG.

Highly recommend Autotune in Hinckley - see TVR Sprint - ask for Mervyn - they did a recent service on my V8S - excellent guys and the car is running brilliantly..
