Just had the latest Octane magazine drop through the door, there is a buyers guide in it on the TVR S series. The resident expert is from Ferhurst TVR, and I have to say they do give it a thumbs up, obviously with the V8s winning in the outright performance department. however the magazines choice would be for a V6 S3C Any way worth buying the magazine for the S article alone but a bloody good read anyway.

Blimey, I've had Octane days and hadn't spotted that. Interesting views on pricing "immaculate S3s cost £10,000, really nice S4s can make £13,000... V8S... one went for £20,000 recently". Have heard Fernhurst operate at the top of the market though

I saw this in Octane last night.

I thought it was quite a favourable review. I did have to laugh at some of the comments made in the article, such as the references to ground clearance, creaky interior and the fact that all S series roofs leak.

I'm not so sure on the price guide though. It seemed a little over-priced, but as someone said above, they obviously deal in high end cars. I was also pleased to read the point made about ignoring age and mileage, instead concentrating on the cars quality.

Cheered me up - especially as mine was originally supplied by Fernhurst, complete with the door plates,and original Fernhurst owners book....great if you're an anorak!
