My V8S has recently developed missfire and tickover problems - regretably beyond my limited capabilities to fix.

Can anyone recommend a garage offering an engine diagnostic/repair service within easy reach of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk?.

Scole Engineering in Diss are highly recommended and very experienced in TVR's - many TVRCC members take car's there.

Hello Chris,

Sorry to hear you're having problems. If they're engine-related and there's no TVR specialist nearby, you may do just as well with a Range Rover specialist. Mansfield 4x4 in Bury St Edmunds or Glencoyne Engineering in Thetford for example. They're not recommendations - I haven't used them - just a couple of fairly local possibilities.

We seem to be in a similar boat, I bought mine in August last year, had lots of fun, but also had a few issues, the latest is a miss fire when cold, GreenV8S on here, suggested the coolant temperature sensor might be at fault.

Please let me know how you get on, as you never know, I may have the same fault as you.

Im going to change the coolant temperature sensor, spark plugs, plug leads dizzy etc. If that fixes it I will let you know.
