V8S Dash instruments

Hi All,

Just started having a look at the dash instruments, tacho needle is sitting at 3k rpm and speedo at 40mph.
Do we know of somewhere that will inspect/repair our gauges? or is it a buy new job? just like the way the tacho operates top to bottom and like to keep it that way.
Don't want to risk building the dash back in and find a 'duffer' after.

That does not mean your guages are faulty - they stop wherever they were when the power was turned off. They zero when power is applied again. It won't be too difficult to connect 12 volts to them and check they do zero ok. I don't think rev counter failure is very common, but speedo failure is. I and a few others had a new speedo made to look like the original - its great. It was made by speedy cables. There is a thread somewhere with the info and pics.

Still a long way to go before fitting the dash but I do like to know stuff up-front.
Just need to finish building the engine (short engine in chassis)and all the rest of 1001 jobs to do!
Not posted any photo's as it's just another chassis/engine shot with nothing fancy.
