any suggestions where to obtain a new rad,I'm on the Surrey/Berks border

your best bet is to get your existing rad recored, i understand the header tanks are hard to get so these get reused ,should cost about £130

I'm pretty sure I used a company called Serck Intertruck in Reading for my s3 radiator. They take it apart, replace the core and paint it black for you. I think it cost about 120 quid (maybe). You've got to take it out yourself and pop it back in again but it's a piece of cake. Their phone number is 0118 941 5252.

Tower View reconditioned mine last year. Apparently they add an extra core which improves efficiency. Mines been in for the best part of a year now and I have had no overheating problems at all (unlike with the old rad). You can find Tower View are not too far from IKEA on the North Circular.

Thanks for your help guys,I've had a word with my local friendly mechanic who has a rad man that can {I hope!} I'll let you know how I get on
