Got my renewal through and it's gone DOWN by approx £50 to £140!! 
I spoke to the insurers (R H Specialist 01277 206912) on Friday. I thought they were going to say it was either a mistake or because I am getting older but no, it is because of the age of the car - apparently now my S is 20 years it falls in a lower pricing band. Anyone else experienced this...?
I've been with RH for a couple of years now because they are good on price and include UK & Euro breakdown and this is one less reason to change! I know you can only judge these companies when it comes to claims and the one claim I have needed to make (for road side help in Belgium) was handled excellently

I've just insured mine with performance direct on a quote I got throughout Go Compare which now has a specialist site. fantastic at £135! Mine is a 1987 S1 so maybe the over 20 years old rule counts. that's for commuting allowed and 1500 miles. funny though, asking for an agreed valued took 5 quid off the quote. how does that work?
OK, just looked again, it's just the normal Go Compare site but it does bring up classic insurance for my car (limited mileage and the usual companies) as well as some astronomical non-classic quotes.
the reason I thought it was different was because I put 'classic car insurance' in google and it came up so I thought I'd give it a try. worked for me but the 'over 20 years old' rule might apply. might not though, so good luck!
