Spa Classic May 28th 2011

Had a great day out last Saturday at Spa Classic. Got some tickets from Longers
I joined the group which did the Spa Classic organised by Longers. Martin with a Cerbera and Don with a Chimeara 4.5

The tickets allowed us to park on the Paddock and we also had full access to all the racing cars on the paddock. Most of the Saturday was qualifying for Sunday races but the Saturday ended with the "Sixties Endurance" from 16:00 to 18:00. It was fabulous to see how the Griffith finished second in a field of Cobra's, Ferrari's and Porches. Stunning car !!

Glad you enjoyed your day Han. Some great pics and the vid is excellent!

If you do not want to watch the whole vid, skip to 6.20 to see a poorly Corvette facing the wrong way after Eau Rouge (or should that be Eau ST ). At 19.10 you can see the remains being taken away on a lorry and at 21.40 Han has "a moment" of his own in the same place...

Please be careful at Zolder Han, we are looking forward to seeing you at S Club this year!!!!

Excellent Vid Han...You were very lucky not to end up the same as the yellow corvette.

Glad to see an S3 giving a Cerb a run for his money - its no good being fast if you keep going too slow round the corners.

Just be careful - 2 vids, 2 tracks, and 2 near misses...

And I thought, this can't be Han driving it looks far too slow, he was faster than this in Scotland last year............then 'the moment' fk me I thought you were in the barrier, not sure how you saved that, but nice to know it's not only me who can screw up at a track day, would like to have seen you save that on two wheels

Bit of both I guess, switched off the sound while I was braking and counter steering ;-)

The Cerb had some problems with overheating brakes to be honest.
I did some more track laps so average is not that bad
You are right have to be more careful next time, but that's difficult when you are out on the track. (especially when organised by fast track tours ;-)

Thanks Han, very generous but to be honest the brakes only boiled on the last lap, the rest of the time I was just being a pussy and being careful as it was not a track day and I didn't want an accident so I took it carefully.

Hello Adrian,

Not me !! I think it would have ended differently, bikes are not as forgiving as cars ;-) At least the two track-days at Spa on the Falco helped at lot, remembered all corners.

Brilliant Vid Han, although i had no sound (problem my end)...i could imagine Mrs Han sleeping peacefully in the passender seat (until 22 mins in that is)...!!!
