ACT STAINLESS COOLANT PIPES

Arrived today but the bottom pipe is nothing like the one i have on mine anyone else on here bought this kit as it looks like the wrong part to me nige.

Never seen one shaped like your pipe, is yours a 2.8 or a 2.9 because my 2.9 has a lower pipe like the ACT one

Bleedin hell where did that lower pipe run, as Mark mine is like the shiney stainless one

the u bend on the bottom pipe goes towards the bulkhead the car is a 2.9 S3C 1992 can anyone post a pic of theres as im not sure whats going on with this pipe set up nige.

Just guessing but is yours different as its a cat model?

the lower pipe is different on the s3c to create more clearance with the large cats that were origonaly fitted . if your car has had the cats removed you will be fine using the pipe you have received,

Phil,

Is that the cable to your air meters flapping in the breeze there? Isn't that putting a lot of strain on the connectors?

Its cable tied to the rear section of the inner wing and one of the afm support brackets, no weight on plugs Not enough slack to take it along the chassis with other loom




Was cable tied to fresh air ducting but thats out at the moment for "alteration"

Mike! Sorry about the Phil bit, I should have guessed as my first names not Road. Certainly a good solution. I do have mine cabled to the fresh air ducting, but as you say the cable run is very tight.

Have those of you S3 owners that have upgraded to Stainless got your old pipes. I would like a serviceable set to refurbish if you want to part with them. Happy to cover postage. PM if you can help. Thanks Damon
